As the number of vendors supporting OpenGL continues to grow, it solidifies the position of OpenGL as the industry standard 3DáAPI. Over the past six months, more than a dozen companies have licensed OpenGL, including HP, Sun, Mitsubishi, and Siemens-Nixdorf.
The most important aspect of OpenGL is its ability to provide software developers with a common programming interface on multiple hardware platforms. To further increase exposure to OpenGL, I'm seeking information about your OpenGL applications, which I will then publish on the OpenGL World Wide Web site:
This Web site already features information about the hardware vendors supporting OpenGL, but I'm looking to add to it. To do so, I ask that you provide me with either a link to the Web page that features your OpenGL applications (and mentions OpenGL by name), or a written description of them. Also, please include the following:
I will add your information to Silicon Graphics' OpenGL Web site in the next 4 to 6áweeks. By contributing information about your products to this Web site, you'll increase exposure to them, and you'll help us to keep OpenGL on the forefront of 3DáAPIs.
Thanks for your help.
